The bleeding could be implantation bleeding. When I got a BFP I had some spotting at 9dpo and a positive test at 12dpo. However, it did result in a CP because my luteal phase was too short. Some people bleed during implantation, some bleed and keep on bleeding for a week+, and some people don't bleed at all.
