It has decent damage and a good rate of fire to go with it, allowing its user to fire off several shots in good succession.

In Eidolon hunts, you already got the extra dmg boost from Volt's shield and Harrow's crit buff, and rubico's zoom buff (+50% cd on high zoom, not affected by zoom mods), and likely rubico's combo counter. Zenith is faster than Rubico because of its infinite terrain punch thru, however it needs a riven, a lot of forma to one shot limbs (I have 3 on Rubico and 7 on Zenith), and can only really be used with Volt. If you're using Volt, a lot of weapons will work if ur not worried about speed. Perigale, Lanka, Vectis, Knell Prime, Pandero Prime ...Rubico has a few advantages, most importantly it has a better zoom bonus (+crit damage, where Vectis gets + headshot damage). It also has a higher base crit, and it's combo bonus is applied on the first shot.
