The Army uses the following RE Codes for the DD 214. RE-1 – Soldier is fully qualified for enlistment. This is the “gold standard” RE Code. RE-1A – Soldiers who received this code are ineligible to reenlist for 93 days alter date of separation. Awarded to soldiers with over 6 years of service for pay and they qualified for enlistment.
