P0500 code subaru

Had only one code for P0500 Speed Sensor A? I took the wheels back off and checked both speed sensors and removed them from the knuckles to inspect. They both look perfect? The cables are perfect and were not damaged in any way? What type of sensor are these? I thought they were Hall Effects sensors but there is no corresponding ring on the axles?
